Let’s Eat With Archie, All Day Long

We like to eat at all times of the day here in Melbourne. We like our dumplings at 1am and we’ll happily peruse the breakfast menu at 4pm. Archies All Day knows this all too well, hence the name, and the fact that you can eat whatever is on the menu all day long. Including burgers for breakfast. And they’re open until midnight making this a true all hours adventure. Anthony Brem from Bluebird Espresso and chef Nick Sawle are the pair behind this new eatery which is taking the place of Southpaw on Gertrude Street.

When it comes to the food you’ll be able to munch on fried eggs with tater tots, avocado, black beans, tomatillo salsa, chipotle mayo, and jalapeno-spiked Monterey Jack, or zaatar eggs with chickpea chips, roasted eggplant, pomegranate, sumac yoghurt, and mint. The menu goes on to offer burgers, smashed avocado, cheeses, cakes, and even something like the white miso cured salmon with pickled cucumber and daikon. It’s a diverse menu, which helps if you plan to linger for more than one meal.

If you’re staying into the evening, there’s an ‘Archies Ale’ on tap or a range of beers on offer from the Renaissance Stonecutter Scotch Ale to the Yeastie Boys White Noise Wheat. As well as around 25 wines by the glass.

If this isn’t enough to entice you, the venue has been named after Anthony’s new baby son. Which we think is too adorable to miss.
