A.P.C brings French style to Melbourne

French clothing retailer A.P.C has brought its clean lines and chic simplicity to Melbourne. With Incu founders Brian and Vincent Wu on hand to help bring the line to Australia, the store’s site was what decided the Melbourne location over Sydney. Located near the Incu store, we have to admit that it just makes sense.

French architect Laurent Deroo designed the space fit with pale oak, parquet floors, and aluminum fixtures just like other international A.P.C stores. Deroo was the one behind the design on the London, New York and Paris stores. Continuity is lovely.

The newbie to Melbourne will stock the full international range of men’s and women’s clothing.  Expect killer basics and styles that straddle the lines between appropriate for the office and the streets.  Good quality denim and accessories will sit alongside the A.P.C. collaborations with the likes of M/M, Bonton, Vanessa Seward and an on-trend sports luxe collaboration with Nike.

We’re welcoming international brands like A.P.C with open arms and dig that they are putting down roots when the move to online retail is very clear. The QV location for A.P.C means good things for foot traffic, and we hope they’ll be here for the long haul.

If it’s good enough for Kanye, it’s good enough for us.
