A greenhouse effect

A Greenhouse is typically a glass-like space where plants are grown so they can benefit from the sun; a hot house if you will. Fashion has similar roots as it needs to be nurtured and loved and really heats up in summer. Just take a peek at the Bermuda shorts and bright digital prints from limedrop’s new summer collection.

The talented and recent award winning design duo behind limedrop have teamed up with the design team at Wonder to create a hotspot retail space set in a walkway of Melbourne Central.

Expect a miniature retail shop that deceptively looks larger than what it is with the use of glass. Inside the greenhouse there’s modular racking with timber and white steel fixtures, white pegboard and macramé planters. The piece de la resistance? A wall of suspended plants in coffee bags.

Wonder worked with LIFEwithBIRD to create their temporary space in the GPO and offer a clean, minimalist approach. All fixtures and fittings are mobile or reusable.

Visiting for summer only, drop in before the plants die and the winds of autumn return.
