For years now, Sovereign Hill has been turning Winter into an epic Wonderlight. Creating a cosy space, this festival is perfect place for adults and kids alike. This stunning family festival has you wandering in enchantment with whimsical events during the day that trickle into evening time.
Highlights in the Wonderland
Be dazzled as you see the Main Street illuminated with the shining streetscapes and vibrant projections. Hear a melody of music, and a storytelling of celebration and togetherness. Then feel a little trickle of snowfalls ( faux snow) falling down to tickle your face as Sovereign Hill turns into a snowy River. And those stary eyes are ignited with 18 km of fairy light fun, as you weave your way through the scenic views in this picturesque fairy tale place.
Whilst it may not yet be Christmas, celebrated in July with a big brass band, full ensemble, theatrical performances. See some spectacular live entertainment from the Victoria theatre such as a captivating magic show with special effects for everyone.
Sensory Sessions new for 2025
A new feature for 2025 and evolving the experience is their relaxed sensory sessions. This initiative is part of a broader commitment towards inclusion to ensure that everyone can be a part of this wonderful experience and make it so memorable.
And, of course, it wouldn’t be complete without hearty food, warming drinks, and roaring open fires. Expect belly laughs, rosy cheeks, and plenty of wide-eyed wonder.
