A nutty short black and the perfect linen tee. A cold-pressed juice and chunky Lucite shades by Graz. A decadent pancetta egg roll and slick ladies’ Meandher brogues.
Good things just go together at The Stables.
Continuing the theme of unexpected congruity, you’ll find this polished cement haven inside a Victorian terrace façade on Bourke Street. If ‘arbiter of egg rolls’ deserves a place on your C.V., you might already be familiar with what lies behind the slated wood sliding wall. But now there’s further reason to be a little selfish this giving season.
Adjacent to the Five Senses coffee beans is a refined selection of local and international fashion brands. Sydney’s own Bassike brushes shoulders with tailored workwear by Officine Generale and delicate knits from A.L.C, with frames by Garrett Leight and NYC’s MOSCOT lending the finishing touch to your summer.
And things only up from there. February will see the launch of Short and Hill, an awarded chef-helmed restaurant on level two, while sandwiched in between is the We Are The Stables showroom as well as Storm models spin-off London Artist Group.
One word of warning: The Stables is highly susceptible to lingering.
