The world is divided into three kinds of people; dog people, cat people, no pets thank you people. This weekend, the latter two sorts should stay well away from Sydney Olympic Park as the place will be overrun with dogs of all shapes and sizes.
DogMatchers (animal behaviour expert) will be on site offering advice about what breeds are the perfect match for your lifestyle and you can eavesdrop on ‘Dog Listener’ Jan Fennell; she will be talking about how to train misbehavin’ puppies without getting angry (or losing your Choo collection to the gnashing jaws of a fur baby).
Learn the basics of first aid, grooming, discipline, poisons to avoid and how to keep your dog occupied at one of the many lectures over the course of the weekend. Or witness spectacular feats of canine athleticism as four-legged competitors vie for the position of ‘Top Dog’ in games of Flyball, Canine Disc and DOCKDOGS.
Finally, take your puppy shopping and spoil him or her with all latest pet products.
Raise the woof and wag your tail this weekend. You’ll get treats for good behaviour.
