Ever wondered what to do with a few curtain tassels, angel wings and that Venetian mask you have hanging around the house? One night at Pacha will inspire your creativity in a ‘Spectacular, Spectacular’ with costumed performers who bring it all to life courtesy the creative directors who brought you the Vancouver Winter Olympics, and more.
If you’ve witnessed Pacha in Ibiza you’ll know it’s more than just uber DJ’s spinning the crowd into a frenzy. Think more a theatrical fusion of dancers, beats and glamour. No surprise then that ivy is the Sydney stage for a dazzling combo of circus and entertainment.
The lights dim, the tunes fade out and confetti reigns down as a chorus of angels start singing. Two enormous silk ribbons are raised in the sky as a lone aerialist step climbs up above the crowd. Over the course of the evening street performers, psychedelic light shows and acrobatic feats create a visual playground. Wanna be a VIP? Too easy! Hire a private balcony for the best seats in the house.
Just when you think it’s safe to go back on the dance floor, a suspended art installation by design genius Glue Society’s James Drive called ‘A Little Faster Please” starts to illuminate. Pedal power by a lone cyclist creates a visual light bulb display spelling out the words Heineken.
Those who love clubbing will go crazy for a stunning evening, those who don’t, will walk away wondering why they ever stopped.
