If you have a penchant for mango massages, bubble baths and play time, you’re in luck but only if you’re a toy poodle. Take your canine pal along to Paw Paws, the new doggy day spa in Waterloo, and feel nothing short of envy at the four feet luxury.
As much design temple as pleasure dome for dogs, Paw Paws’ colourful interior is bliss for the eyes. Decals of trees, birds and bunnies adorn the sheet glass walls and murals of idyllic landscapes leap out of concrete walls.
There are theme rooms that cater for the dogs by size. The Pussy Parlour, complete with stripper’s pole and chewable garters, is ideal for the littlies and the Library is where the big dogs get together to bone up on all the latest literature and chew the fat with their slobber-challenged buddies.
Next time you jet off to the Maldives for a week, the Highlands for the weekend or you simply cannot bear to leave your puppy at home alone, ease those pangs of guilt and leave them with the experts.
The only problem is that they may not want to come home.
