Proceed with caution. You might love Bar H so much, that in the throes of passion, a new lunching love child maybe the consequence.
Little H is the new baby of Hamish (Josephine Pignolet Young Chef of the Year’, Billy Kwong) and wife Rebecca who have named lunchtimes at Bar H affectionately after their 3yr old toddler.
There are no stumbling blocks with this newborn. Culinary adventures will have your taste buds holidaying round Asia and back again.
Choose to sit outside on leather cushioned milk crates in the edible garden or opt for window seating inside. Those who need to eat on the hoof can grab take out from a delish menu laden with porky goodies (Hamish is having a torrid love affair with Esk River piggies who tend to take roaming free in Tassie seriously).
It’s smart, fun, aromatic eating. So morish it will connect you with your inner glutton. Devour pork buns with Vietnamese mint and herbs or a Pork Burger with lashings of mayo, herbs, and fennel. Lap up the zingy Tamari n’ sesame broth with a silky wonton and finish with a cracker monster noodle salad.
Wash it all down with house made lemonade pretty as pink from pomegranates. H is for Happy.
